Project Description  

Construction Administration Services for mechanical and plumbing systems for a new middle school building in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Corey Metzger was the design engineer for mechanical and plumbing systems for the building while working for a previous employer.

Scope of Work  

Mechanical and Plumbing Construction Administration services, including submittal reviews, construction meetings and site visits, response to requests for information, punch lists, etc.

Challenge Faced 

This large project included numerous coordination challenges between contractors of different trades. Significant involvement in the construction phase of the project was required to ensure complex mechanical system components were installed to allow for proper operation and control.  The interface of multiple control systems was also accomplished to provide better operating reliability for the Owner.

Project Outcome 

Frequent site visits and communication with Prime Consultant, Owner, and Contractors was required throughout the construction phase of the Project.  The completed Project operates with energy performance exceeding the Owner’s expectations.
