Bessey Hall at Iowa State University

Project Description  

For this project, Iowa State University (ISU) needed fire sprinkler design with a focus on replacing sprinkler heads through the building, adding sprinklers to the loading dock area and verifying hydraulic flow data throughout.

Scope of Work  

The scope of the project was to replace sprinkler heads throughout the building and adding sprinkler head to a loading dock that will occasionally load hazardous materials.

Challenge Faced 

The design required that modification be done in such a way to minimize disruption to an occupied building.

Project Outcome 

The project is in its final stages. Sprinkler heads were replaced throughout, and hydraulic data was verified while the building remained occupied with minimal disruptions.
